Victorian Opera presents: Die tote Stadt (Erich Wolfgang Korngold)

A mysterious and hallucinatory study of grief, memory and obsession. Prefiguring Korngold’s future success in Hollywood as a composer of film scores, this opera is a sensual, intense psychological experience floating between illusion and reality. This concert version features superstar singers Marlis Petersen and Michael Schade, and the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) under the baton of Simone Young.
