TCHAIKOVSKY SYMPHONY 5 – Australasian Orchestra

Following its highly acclaimed Shostakovich 11 Symphony concert in February this year, the Australasian Orchestra will again present a dynamic and rich program of amazing music and a display of wonderful musical talent in its July concert under the baton of Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Robert Dora.

Featuring Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony, one of the composer’s most loved large-scale creations for musicians and audiences alike, the program will include Percy Grainger’s energetic and captivating Green Bushes (Passacaglia on an English Folk Song), the World Premiere of Chilean Australian composer Andre Pertout’s – I Cespuglia Verdi, (a specially composed homage to Percy Grainger), and Wagner’s Siegfrid’s Trauermarsch from Gotterdammerung. Join us for an uplifting afternoon of sheer musical delight!
