ANAM’s professional performance program is temporarily moving online from next Monday 20 April. Musicians will all receive lessons online, and Nick Deutsch and faculty have been busy putting together an online offering of lessons, lectures, discussions and other classes to continue the training of our musicians.
We will be calling all ticket buyers and sharing more information across the next few days, but if you have any inquiry, please send us a email or get in touch with us over the phone. Thank you so much for your patience and support.
ROMINENT LONDON-BASED AUSTRALIAN PIANIST PIERS LANE AND ANAM MUSICIANS’ VERSATILITY AND BRILLIANCE WILL BE ON FULL DISPLAY IN THIS DEMANDING PROGRAM.
- Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue defines the roaring 20s – its flappers, its bathtub gin and its fascination with the romance and rhythm of the big city
- Dutch composer Leo Smit was killed in the Holocaust, and left behind a small but exquisite musical legacy, including this scintillating sextet, which owes as much to the chic French music of the time as it does to Gershwin
- The richly romantic language of Chausson’s sextet makes it one of the most impassioned of all chamber works
SMIT Sextet for piano and winds
GERSHWIN Rhapsody in Blue arr. Terracini for brass quintet and piano
CHAUSSON Concerto for violin, piano and string quartet
Piers Lane piano
